Change of address or family situation

Luxembourg residents are not required to declare their change of address or family situation to the CMFEP. The Luxembourg commune of residence updates the data in the National Registre of Natural Persons (Registre national des personnes physiques - RNPP).

Change of address

A new process on MyGuichet.lu "Application for rectification of data from the national registry of natural persons" allows non-residents to easily communicate a change of address to the National Registry of Natural Persons (RNPP) of the Luxembourg State.

The communication of a change of address to the RNPP can now be performed online, 24/7 via MyGuichet.lu without the need for a LuxTrust product. For all other changes, a LuxTrust product remains mandatory.

Change in family situation

The communication of a change in family situation must be accompanied by the marriage certificate, the marriage certificate with divorce transcription, the death certificate or the birth certificate.
